Bangalore’s i-Vista Digital Solutions wins the European Seal of Excellence in Multimedia 2006

Bangalore-based i-Vista Digital Solutions, a software products company, has won the European Seal of Excellence in multimedia 2006 of the European Multimedia Forum, announced on the occasion of CeBIT at Hannover.

Announcing this over the weekend, Mr. Philippe Wacker, Secretary General of the Forum, said : “Our Seal Winners are very successful companies which understand the importance of producing for a market. This attention to marketing is what we intend to highlight by distinguishing them with a Seal of Excellence. Our Winners are successful and, as such, are natural job creators”.

Underlining the importance of the Seal as a visibility tool highlighting the effort of Europe’s multimedia associations to support their members’ international business expansion, Mr. Wacker said : “The Seal showcases some of the companies that we are currently promoting internationally, both within and outside Europe”. He also welcomed the presence of Indian companies (for the third time) amongst this year’s Seal Winners. 

i-Vista is one among the 33 companies worldwide and only one of the two Indian companies, which bagged this award this year.  Earlier, the company had won the Child Health Corporation of America’s Bronze award for the Best Overall Intranet Application for its product, Who’s On Call (WOC) in 2002.

i-Vista Digital Solutions, holds IPRs for three home-grown software products it has developed. i-Morfus -- an integrated intranet suite – is the flagship product of the company, a ready-to-run software that runs on Windows servers.  i-Morfus brings employees and stakeholders together by providing instant access to policies and procedures, online training, information sharing, existing and new systems integration with the latest web-based technologies.  It automates workflow, monitors task delegation, manages documents, automates business processes and allows for virtual team collaboration -- resulting in a paperless office environment.

i-Scribe,  a powerful web content management tool that empowers every individual involved in the web site creation process to update data on a task-based basis.  'Who's on Call?', (WoC) a roster management system for hospitals and hospitality industry and other verticals, are the other two products.

Highlighting the patronage of EUREKA (www.eureka.be) for the 2006 Seals, Mr. Wacker emphasised that “EUREKA focuses on supporting market-orientated R&D projects. The programme thus underlines the necessary organic link between research and the market place. In so far, there is complete symbiosis in approach between EUREKA and the European Seal of Excellence in Multimedia.”

Companies & institutions to which the Seal is bestowed are entitled to refer to, and publicly display, their ‘European Seal of Excellence’.

The EUROPEAN MULTIMEDIA FORUM is the main European not-for-profit organisation promoting the competitiveness of the converging digital media industries in the global market place. Its main objectives are to encourage the international expansion of the digital media industries by offering preferential services, facilitating contacts and exchanges, providing visibility to key players in key markets, making available an international support network of associations and advisors. Through the European Multimedia Associations Convention, the EMF reaches out to a network of more than 5000 digital media companies throughout Europe.

Focusing on Excellence in Innovation Marketing, the European Seal of Excellence in Multimedia distinguishes ICT & digital media companies with excellent track records in innovation marketing. Through the Seal, the European Multimedia Associations Convention (EMMAC) intends to honor the outstanding achievements of companies active in the multimedia value-chain. Members of EMMAC nominate their candidates. A jury composed of a representative from each EMMAC member selects the winners. The Seal is awarded annually.

All winners feature prominently in www.Check-Out-Europe.com, the European Showcase of Excellence in Multimedia.

The European Multimedia Associations' Convention - EMMAC (www.emultimedia.
org/associations) is the co-ordination platform of Europe's main national and regional multimedia associations and is managed by the European Multimedia Forum.
