i-Vista created a scalable hospital management system to manage the on-call schedules of a hospital's departments. Who's On Call can even be operated by non-physicians. The system enables generation and dispersal of up-to-the-minute and accurate on-call information via the Intranet and Internet.

Main on-call Sheet

  • The Main on-call Sheet lists all the personnel who are on call “as of now”
  • All the changes made within an hour are shown in a different color
  • The call sheet can be integrated with alpha paging system. A Click of a button sends a predefined message to the provider’s Pager
  • The system automatically refreshes the screen every 90 seconds.
  • Monthly and Weekly Views are provided to have a consolidated view of the call assignments for the week or month.

Department Management

  • Create departments and services
  • Create multiple shifts for services. Shifts can be created for everyday or multiple days
  • An easy-to-use Time Picker is available to specify timings
  • Add Providers of various provider types to the System. Assign / re-assign the providers to various departments

On-Call Scheduler

  • Assign calls to the providers of the system
  • Assign calls using Predefined Shift Timings
  • Have a preview of the shift assignments before assigning the shift
  • Select Date and Time for on-call using the Date and Time Picker
  • Providers have the facility to cover each others’ calls
  • Calls can be covered fully or partly
  • Automatic E-mail notification is sent to both the providers and the respective department administrator
  • Providers can be made unavailable for on call

Personal Calendar

  • This is a calendar which displays general and departmental holidays
  • Call assignments and the unavailability of the providers are displayed.
  • Set / Reset Reminders
  • If the reminder is set then the system sends a reminder to the provider 24 hours prior to the scheduled call assignment

Audit Trail

  • Audit Trail for on-call Assignment, Call coverage and change of provider Information
  • Filter the results by department, provider or date
  • Displays the before and after image of the on-call assignment with the type of activity performed

Message Board

  • Message Board is used for putting requests for call coverage
  • Providers can put requests and other providers can view them. This facilitates better communication between providers and on-call schedule can be changed faster

Feedback

  • Feedback utility is used to send feedback to the department administrators of the selected departments by E-mail

  • Department Administrators can setup special holidays for their respective departments
